Yubo Liu-Chair of Bodi School Was Chosen as “Top Ten Private Educators in PRC’s 60-year History” and Elected as Vice-president of China Education Development Confederation Council

From Nov. 19th to 21st , 2009, the sixth Chinese Educator Convention was held in Peking University’s Century Lecture Hall. Our school’s chair-Yubo Liu Was Chosen as “Top Ten Private Educators in PRC’s 60-year History” and elected as vice-President of China Education Development Confederation Council in the conference because of her outstanding contributions to Chinese basic education.
This convention was hosted by Education Talents Specialized Committee of China Talents Research Society and Branch of China Future Studies Society and undertook by Discovery magazine, Beijing Zhongguan Zhixue Consultation Center and Beijing Huakang Zhongji Consultation Center. Leaders from National People’s Congress (NPC) and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference(CPPCC), heads of education administrative departments, presidents of noted domestic universities, notable educators and excellent educational workers, 600 in total, assembled and deeply discussed China education’s hot and difficult issues and its developing trend with the main clue of “reviewing the achievements of China’s education in the past 60 years, discussing China education’s new leap, highlighting respectable educators with features of the age and helping China young educators’ growth.” Opening speech was given by Tangjiang Liu-executive deputy proprietor and chief editor of China Education Press Agency. Qiujian Zhang- deputy director of CPPCC Education, Science, Culture, Sanitation and PE Committee and Xiulian Gu- vice-chair of NPC Standing Committee also attended the convention’s opening ceremony and gave important speeches.

Abulaiti•Abudourexiti- vice-president of Tenth CPPCC; Xuaixi Zhang- chairman of China Shengtao Ye Research Society; Lilan Zhu- former minister of Department of Science and Technology and former director of CPPCC Education, Science, Culture, Sanitation and PE Committee; Jiaer Chen- former director of National Natural Sciences Foundation, former president of Peking University and academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences; Daojiong Zhou- president of China Xingzhi Tao Fountation and former president of China Securities Regulatory Commission; Lianchang Cheng- executive deputy minister of Ministry of Personnel, former deputy director of CPPCC Economic Committee and academician of World Productivity Academy; Chong’an Li- standing committee member of CPC and vice-president of  Central Committee of China Democratic League; Zuoshu Wang- standing committee member of CPC and deputy director of CPC Education, Science, Culture, Sanitation and PE Committee; Tianbao Wang- former deputy minister and chief supervising consultant of China Education Department and president of China Vocational Education Academy; Wenfan Zhang- former deputy minister of Ministry of Civil Affairs and director of China Future Studies Society; Jian Shen- director and Party secretary of Jiangsu Province Education Department and secretary of Party Committee of Jiangsu Educational Workers.
China Educator Convention was founded with the spirit of “Providing fertile atmosphere for Chinese educators’ growth” and the goals of “giving top priority to education in our developing strategy”(by General Secretary of CPC- Jintao Hu) and “Cultivating a batch of outstanding educators and propagating educators as we propagated model workers and scientists before.”(by premier Jiabao Wen). This convention aims to offer a platform for Chinese educators and educational workers to discuss educational ideas and hot issues so as to facilitate a quicker development of Chinese education.
