Principal Yang Fengyu and Chair of the School Board Liu Yubo attended sister school Nishiyamato Gakuen¡¯s 25th Anniversary Ceremony in Japan on October 9. As the only foreign guests, Principal Yang Fengyu and Chair of the School Board Liu Yubo received warm and friendly hospitality by Nishiyamato Gakuen Council. Principal Yang Fengyu gave an inspiring speech and presented a work of Chinese calligraphy work as a gift with the meaning that It takes ten years to grow a tree and a hundred years to bring up a generation. Her remarks were responded by loud applause at the ceremony.
Nishiyamato Gakuen has a great reputation for rigorous and high quality education and currently ranked top 5 Schools in Japan. Last year, the number of the graduates who enrolled in Kyoto University (the No.2 Japanese University) was No.1.
Bodi had established a strong relationship with Nishiyamato Gakuen since founded in 1993. As of now, more than 4000 Japanese students had visited Bodi in the past 17 years and Bodi also organized students visiting groups to Nishiyamato Gakuen for exchanging several times. Principal Yang Fengyu had also visited Nishiyamato Gakuen for three times and participated in the anniversary and opening and art ceremony as the guest
During the Ceremony, the Nishiyamato Gakuen President and the Principal had a deep conversation and sincerely exchanged views with our leaders regarding to the impact of the tension Sino-Japanese relations on teenagers recently. The president said no matter what conflict between nations, the friendship with Bodi would last forever and they would keep on teaching students to cherish the peace and friendship. Mrs. Liu also said, the school had obligation to cultivate the next generation to set up comprehensive world outlook and rational expressions under the globalization . And the students should be encouraged to learn more about the world situation and political conflict, find out the truth actively but not blind, contribute to the world peace which was the right expression of real patriotism.
